Andhra Pradesh CID has booked a case against ABN-Andhra Jyothy managing director Vemuri Radhakrishna for obstructing them from discharging their duties on Saturday. The FIR came to light on Sunday evening.
The sleuths stated that the ABN-Andhra Jyothi MD and three others obstructed them from conducting raids on retired IAS officer K. Lakshmi Narayana’s house in Hyderabad as part of the probe into the Rs 241-crore scam unearthed in the AP Skill Development Corporation.
Radhakrishna reached the residence of the then APSDC Director K Lakshmi Narayana, the accused in the case while CID officials were conducting searches and stayed there for several hours. Radhakrishna claimed that he visited Laxminarayana’s residence only to console him as he has been his close friend for several decades.
Laxminarayana earlier worked as OSD and secretary in CMO to then AP Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu.
