Tamil actor-director RNR Manohar breathed his last on Wednesday at a prive hospital in Chennai due to illness. He was 61. Reports state that Manohar was COVID positive and was receiving treatment for the past 20 days until he breathed his last earlier today.
The 61-year-old started his career as an assistant director of KS Ravikumar and worked in films like Band Master and Suriyan Chandran. He ventured into acting with Kolangal, which he also co-wrote. He went on to do multiple supporting and comical roles.
Manohar was famous for his comedy scene, co-starring Vivekh in Thennavan. He was also a part of films like Kallazhagar, Dhill, Sutta Pazham, Ya Ya and Veeram. He was last seen in Arya's Teddy and Vishal's Veerame Vaagai Soodum is considered to be his last on-screen appearance.
On the directorial front, he made his debut with Maasilamani, starring Nakhul and Sunainaa, in 2009. Following that he made Vellore Maavattam in 2011, a police drama starring Nandha and Poorna in the lead.
