Taking a cue from other states, Telangana government announced the closure of educational institutions across the state due to rising COVID-19 cases. Sabita Indira Reddy, the state education minister, made the announcement in the state assembly on Tuesday.
Except medical schools, all educational institutions will be closed, according to the minister. She also stated that online courses would continue as normal.
COVID-19 cases have been on the rise in Telangana, with several clusters of cases reported from schools and hostels in recent days.
