Kollywood star hero Thalapathy Vijay’s residence at Neelankarai in Chennai received yet another bomb threat on Tuesday. Yesterday, Chennai police received a call from an unidentified man who claimed to have placed a bomb at Vijay’s residence. The Chennai Police rushed a dog squad and bomb squad to the superstar’s residence and after a proper search, realised that the bomb scare was a just hoax.
“Vijay’s house and nearby area were thoroughly checked, no bombs or any other explosive material was recovered. The threat call turned out to be a hoax call as early ones warned of blasting or killing the superstar,” said a senior police officer stationed at Chennai Police headquarters.
Upon further probe, the officer said that a man named Bhuvaneswaran from Villupuram, Chennai made the phone call to the police. Bhuvaneswaran is said to be mentally imbalanced and he had earlier made a similar hoax call in July, claiming to have placed a bomb at Vijay’s residence in July this year. Bhuvaneswaran had also made similar calls to a few politicians and celebrities in the past.
